Job Responsibilities

Assists the AVP, Accounting with the following duties:

  • Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement review and flux analysis, for specified Green Street subsidiaries as determined by AVP Accounting
  • Ensure that corporate credit cards and bank accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and that reconciling items are identified, accurately documented, and resolved quickly
  • Ensure that invoices are approved, expenses are properly classified, and payment is made in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with AVP, Accounting to stand up accounting systems and improve month-end close processes, in particular for assigned subsidiaries
  • Prepare, document, and reconcile journal entries for various entities across several currencies and maintain consolidated reports for annual audit
  • Support in coordination of external audit for Green Street and its affiliates
  • Work with AVP, Accounting and external tax advisors on tax provisions, returns, and notices
  • Assist on various tax matters globally, including income tax, sales tax, VAT, GST, and tax residency certificates
  • Liaise between the Accounting Department and various other departments to gather information and support company initiatives (i.e., Advisory, Sales, Human Resources, Technology)
  • Proactively identify issues, recommend process updates, and work with AVP, Accounting to implement improvements for efficiency, controls, and accuracy
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting/projects for management and Senior Leadership Team

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required. CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in all aspects of accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including mastering Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs and Graphs
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Analytical—the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information

  • Quality management—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Judgment—the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions
  • Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plan
  • Self-starter—must have the ability to problem solve and self-initiate processes with limited guidance

Compensation, Benefits and Work Authorization

In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

 

Green Street will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Bulgaria without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

 

The current offer:

  • Hybrid Office Model: 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) in office in Sofia, 2 days remote
  • Working Hours: 3 days per week 11:00am – 8:00pm, 2 days 9:00am – 6:00pm EEST
